WakeHealth-Wayfinder, a new mobile app, helps to make visits to our facilities easier for patients, families, and visitors by providing maps and turn-by-turn directions. The app is available as a free download for both Apple and Android devices.

What is the method you use to verify my identity?

Experian is a third-party, secure verification service that confirms your identity. This service is very similar to the one used by banks and healthcare.gov to verify customers’ identities.

When will I be able to see my test results on myWakeHealth?

Most test results will be available in myWakeHealth accounts as soon as they are posted to your electronic health record, and the provider does not need to release them. The average time to get results from specialized labs and imaging is four days.


Why is myWakeHealth not sharing certain test results electronically?

Your provider will be able to tell you which test results are available through myWakeHealth. MyWakeHealth may not release certain sensitive tests. This will be discussed with you by your provider.


What should I do if myWakeHealth’s health information is incorrect?

On your next clinic visit, ask your doctor to correct the incorrect data. Every time you visit a clinic, your health information is reviewed. You can also request amendments to your medical records as per the terms mentioned in the Privacy Practices.


When can I expect to receive a reply from my doctor or nurse if I send them a message?

A care team member will usually respond within 1-3 business days. For urgent matters, you should not use the myWakeHealth Portal. If you need a faster response, please get in touch with your doctor.


How can I access a person’s health records in myWakeHealth for a family member or another individual?

Proxy Access is required to allow access to another record to remain private for patient information. Proxy Access will be granted to anyone who is authorized but does not have a myWakeHealth account or is not a patient at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist.

How do I obtain proxy forms?

Proxy forms can be obtained as described above.

You can email (MWHstaff@wakehealth.edu), hand delivers, or mail completed signed proxy authorization forms to the HIM address department.


To request Proxy Access, please use one of the following forms:

• A adult who needs access to another adult

• Access to minor children – For children aged 12-17 years, a parent/legal guardian has limited proxy access. Account access will be restricted to a parent/legal guardian on the 12th birthday. 

• A person with impaired mental capacity must have access to an adult.


Proxy access is restricted for children aged 12-17 years.

North Carolina State law allows minors to consent to certain services without their parent’s permission. They also have all privacy rights associated with that services that include treatment, prevention, diagnosis, treatment for sexually transmitted diseases, and other diseases that must also be reported to the State.


myWakeHealth Portal limits access to minors to ensure privacy, and the system cannot separate certain records to preserve this right. 


Can I ask questions about a family member using my myWakeHealth Account?

Yes, but only if Proxy Access is available for the family member. It would help if you were properly logged in as a proxy to ask questions about an individual.


Can I share my myWakeHealth account with my spouse?

Due to security and privacy laws, every adult patient must create their myWakeHealth profile. Proxy access is required to view your spouse’s medical information.


How Can I Reset the Password?

To reset your password online, click Forgot Password. To get help, please call 855-560-5111.


Where do I update my personal information?

Log in to MyWakeHealth. Use the tabs at the top to go to Preferences and choose the appropriate option.


Is myWakeHealth available for mobile devices?

Yes, after registration at myWakeHealth Portal, you can download the MyChart app on your mobile devices. 


I cannot activate my code. What should I do?

After you sign up successfully, or after 60 days from the date you received it, your activation code expires. Sign up online if you do not sign up within the timeframe.


If you get an error notification:

• Verify that you have entered the correct access code and other information.

• This could be because the access code has expired or your social security number (or birth date) may not match our records.

• If you have any problems, contact us to register. We will verify your identity and send you a new activation number.


Is my activation number my user ID?

Your activation code does not correspond to your myWakeHealth ID password. To sign in to myWakeHealth, you will only need to use the activation code once, and the code expires after you use it or after 60 days. After logging in to myWakeHealth for the first time, enter your activation code. Next, create your unique myWakeHealth ID.
